Make a pair of cylinder mugs!

During this evening, you will be introduced to the basics of ceramics and get to hand build one pair of cylinder mugs using the slab technique. You will also learn how to attach the handle properly and think about the design, proportion and weight of your pieces. In the end, you can decorate your work with engobe colors and customize them with stamps, patterns and textures. No previous experience is required. This is a beginner’s class that dives deep into one of the most useful hand building techniques.

The course is limited to 18 participants 

Clayhem will glaze and fire the pieces after the course, making them dishwasher/microwave safe 

Finished course works can be collected 4 weeks after the course 

Please pick up your finished works within four weeks of the notification that they are ready.

Course Content:

Course introduction, concept and design of the piece, starting and finishing the work, techniques used: pinching, coil technique, slab technique 1 x 3h session

Friday 21st of March from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. (Taught only in English)

The course fee is €98, which includes instruction, clays, glazes, coffee and tea, and VAT.
